Wellingborough Council offices closed to the public until further notice

The authority is following Government advice in light of the coronavirus outbreak

Wellingborough Council has closed all its offices to the public until further notice.

The authority has taken this action in response to advice from the Government regarding Covid-19 and trying to reduce the spread of it.

A council spokesman said: "Due to Government guidance regarding the Coronavirus pandemic the Tithe Barn office reception will be closed until further notice to minimise the risk to our employees and residents.

"Our teams are still busy providing vital services to our residents, and if you need to contact us please email the relevant service area or call us on 01933 229777.

"If you need to speak to a member of staff urgently please call us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

"If you need to submit documents to the council please do so via email whenever possible or place in our secure letter box on the side of the Tithe Barn Office building.

"We would like to thank all residents for their cooperation during this difficult time, and our thoughts are with everyone affected."

While the offices are closed to members of the public, staff will continue working there to provide vital services to residents.
