Staff enjoyed their work and had formed good relationships with the people they supported.

People told inspectors that staff were kind and friendly.

One relative said: “I can’t speak highly enough of staff.”

The inspectors said people’s care, treatment and support achieved good outcomes and promoted a good quality of life.

People’s needs were assessed before they began living at the service to ensure staff understood their needs and preferences and staff received good training that allowed them to carry out their roles effectively.

People were supported to access a wide range of activities, hobbies and pastimes which enhanced their lives and well-being.

This included volunteering at a local charity shop, attending a day centre and taking part in sporting activities.

The inspectors also agreed there was strong and effective leadership at the service, noting that the registered manager promoted a person-centred care in all aspects of the service and staff felt supported by the registered manager and the wider organisational management.

This was confirmed by relatives who told inspectors that the positive attitude of staff helped people to lead fulfilling lives.

One relative said: “I am very pleased with the care home, it’s very homely, the staff are very friendly.”
