A charity which provides a vital lifeline to the elderly across East Northants is looking for volunteers to drive its minibus.

Serve supports older people so they can live independently in their own homes.

As part of this, it provides transport for outings, pub visits and medical appointments.

Serve's new minibus

After recently getting a new minibus, the Rushden-based charity now needs people to volunteer to drive it.

A spokesman for Serve said: "We are very desperate for volunteers to drive it.

"A clean licence is needed but no experience necessary."

The minibus has been named Bernard after Serve's longest standing trustee Bernard Coker who died before Christmas.
