Victims of tragic Corby double-fatal bank holiday weekend collision are named

The two men killed when a motorbike collided with a bicycle in Cottingham Road, Corby have been formally named by police.

Two air ambulances, multiple police cars and road ambulances were on the scene for several hours following the crash at 12.25pm on Saturday, May 29.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, local cyclist Richard Davidson died at the scene of the incident which happened between Beanfield Avenue and the BP Fourways roundabout.

Keen motorcyclist Scott Flynn was taken to University Hospital Coventry but later he sadly died of his injuries.

A fundraising page set up to raise money to pay for his funeral has raised £7,000.

Dozens of bunches of flowers from devastated family and friends have been placed at the scene of the crash.

An full inquest into their deaths will take place at a date yet to be determined.
