UK's third largest funeral director plans new Corby premises

Funeral Partners already have dozens of funeral parlours around the country and are hoping to open their latest premises in a vacant unit in Corby.

The family-run firm has applied to Corby Council to open a premises in the former Care At Home shop in Rockingham Road which has been empty for some time.

The applicants say that the the new use will not require a refrigerator nor mortuary facilities and no preparation of deceased will be carried out on the premises.

Families will be able to view their deceased loved-ones at the premises but the bodies will be prepared elsewhere.
