The NHS has confirmed two more coronavirus deaths at KGH today, which means 50 people have now sadly died from coronavirus at the hospital.

The two deaths announced today happened on April 9 and 12.

At NGH, the NHS confirmed nine deaths today.

Yesterday, Public Health England confirmed there are now 715 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the county.

Across the UK, PHE have confirmed 88,621 cases and the NHS say there have been 11,005 deaths in hospitals.

There is growing concern about the number of unaccounted deaths from Covid-19 in care homes and elsewhere in the community.

On Thursday, the Northamptonshire Telegraph reported that four residents at Brockfield Nursing Home in Stanwick had sadly passed away from Covid-19 and a further three residents have tested positive.

The Guardian reported today that two large providers of care homes, HC One and MHA, have confirmed 521 deaths of residents from coronavirus.

Public Health England are not confirming outbreaks in care homes.
