Two pals from Corby are in Wales this morning to take on a breathtaking challenge to raise charity cash.

Corby town centre boss Daniel Pickard and social media wag Scott Iwanoff are taking on Europe’s longest zip wire at a former quarry this morning (Tuesday, July 18).

The pair hope to raise £1,000 for Lakelands Hospice in Corby which is 100 per cent reliant on public donations.

Scott, best known for his antics on the town’s social media groups, said: “I’m turning 40 soon and I’m going to spend some of the last days of my youth raising some money for Lakelands while simultaneously doing something exciting and terrifying.”

Dan Pickard, who is always keen to get involved in community projects, was happy to join Scott on the madcap Zip World mission at Penrhyn Quarry in north Wales.

Their mission starts at 11am.
