A man who was reported to police as carrying a knife in Huntingdon Road, Thrapston was detained yesterday.
A spokeman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Police officers were deployed to Huntingdon Road, Thrapston, yesterday at about 5pm, following reports that a man was in the area with a knife.
“The man was safely detained and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.”
