Teamwork Trust launch six-week ‘row the Atlantic’ campaign at Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough sites
Northamptonshire charity, Teamwork Trust, launched their ‘row the Atlantic’ campaign today at all three of their sites across Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough.
Service users, staff, volunteers, and supporters of the charity will be taking part in the campaign that will see them row 5,835 kilometres from Monday, October 14, through to Friday, December 6.
They’ve also invited local organisations to help complete the distance on their state-of-the-art indoor rowers kindly donated by Amazon Leisure.
The campaign was launched across all three centres yesterday (Monday) and saw the mayors of each town at each opening to support the charity.

Fundraising and Volunteering Executive Judy Caine said: “We’ve set ourselves a target of raising £20,000 which we plan to use to help us launch new social enterprises led by our service users. Join us, sponsor us, spread the word - however you can help, we’d love to hear from you.”
Some of the funds raised by the campaign will be used to empower the service users of Teamwork Trust, to set up and run new social enterprises, all chosen and championed by them.
Teamwork Trust supports autistic adults, people with learning disabilities and individuals with mental health needs.
IT consultancy 3RS IT Solutions have pledged their support and signed up as the campaign’s Wellingborough Centre sponsor.

Teamwork Trust is now seeking other sponsors - a headline sponsor as well as centre sponsors for Corby and Kettering.
Corby mayor, Cllr Willie Colquhoun said: “It is a wonderful endeavour and I wish everyone all the very best.”
Businesses across the area can get involved in the row by signing up for a number of team-building opportunities to boost the grand total.
Keep fit fans or people who want to help the cause are welcome to come along to row for as little or as long as they wish - bookings can be made at their website.
