A swan and cygnet were injured by a dog at Irthlingborough Lakes on Saturday, August 1.

The incident happened between 2.40pm and 3.10pm when an off-lead dog attacked the swan and cygnet.

Both birds were injured.

The dog walker pulled the dog off the birds and put it on a lead, along with another dog, before walking off.

Northamptonshire Police are investigating the incident and would like to speak to the man pictured as officers believe he may have information that could assist enquiries.

The man or anyone who recognises him is asked to get in touch with Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
