The 2021 calendar featuring the photos is available to buy now

A calendar featuring the beautiful winning images of wildlife photographers from across Northamptonshire and beyond is now for sale.

Earlier this year the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire's 2020 photography competition drew a record numbers of entries, with judging held over the summer.

The final stunning 24 images - taken in the three counties which the local trust covers - gave them plenty of choice to create a stunning 2021 wildlife calendar.

Carl Everitt, the overall winner, produced an atmospheric image of dawn rising over Bradlaugh Fields, a Wildlife Trust reserve in Northampton, won £1,500 worth of photographic equipment from Fujifilm UK.

Other Northamptonshire images feature in the calendar, including a heron on the river Nene, a moorhen at Abington Park plus reed warbler, bullfinch and redshank chick all at Summer Leys Nature Reserve near Wollaston.

The calendar can be purchased for £8, on sale via the Trust's online shop or at the Trust's Nene Wetlands Visitor Centre at Rushden Lakes.

Entry for the photography competition 2021 is now open on the theme of 'celebrate the seasons' with first, second and third prizes up for grabs. Click here to find out more.
