Start 2026 on the right foot as Wellingborough estate to host 5K fun run this weekend
Glenvale Park residents will have the opportunity to begin the new year with a free 5km run with the local community.
Runners will meet at 9.15am outside Toad Hall Nursery on the Wellingborough new build estate for a 9.30am start.
A Glenvale Park Residents Association spokesman said: “It’s a sociable event for everyone, all ages and abilities. So if you fancy getting a little fresh air or exercise, want to meet some new friends, or if you’ve made a New Year’s resolution, then the GP5K is for you.”
Glenvale Park has been the site of a weekly Runday 5K organised by Glenvale Park’s Residents Association, a free event for all ages and abilities that makes use of the green space at the rear of Juniper Grove.
Residents took part in a Santa Dash around the estate on December 20, where the community spirit was out in full force.
Saturday’s event marking the first of 2026 will be followed by an hour-long community litter pick from 1pm until 2pm, with all necessary equipment being provided throughout.
