However, all play equipment will remain closed in line with Government policy.

A statement on the website for the popular attraction said: "We are pleased to be opening up the car park from Saturday 23rd May so that more people are able to visit, but we must remind everyone to continue to follow Government advice on social distancing, of two metres apart.

"Large social gatherings of more than one household are not permitted.

"To keep people safe and reduce numbers, only the main car park will be in use, not the overflow, and when this reaches capacity we will have to turn cars away up at the entrance.

"Please do not park on local roads.

"The car park will be open from 7am and will be locked at 5pm.

"Only a small number of our staff are working, so our ability to respond to emails, social media, voicemails etc is limited.

"Thank you for your patience."

The outdoor kiosk will be open serving light, wrapped refreshments, ice-creams and hot and cold drinks, but the visitor building will remain closed to the public.

The barbecue area will also remain closed to discourage group gatherings so barbecues are therefore not permitted on site.
