Barton Seagrave Post Office has launched a campaign to spread love and friendship after months of lockdown.

The Post Office has teamed up with Me to You, the much-loved brand featuring Tatty Teddy, the grey bear with blue nose and patches, to start the Moments that Matter in a Time that Matters campaign.

Barton Seagrave Post Office is asking people to come in and celebrate the special people in their lives after months of social distancing and lockdown.

Barton Seagrave Post Office said: "This might be a neighbour who helped with shopping or dog walking during the crisis, a teacher who went above and beyond to provide support during lock down, a care worker, nurse or doctor that cared for a loved one in an unimaginably difficult time, or a friend of family member you are pleased to be able to be close to again.

"Whoever you want to celebrate and whatever you want to say, now is the time to get your message across."

Customers can pop into Barton Seagrave Post Office and fill out a message on a heart shaped card to be displayed in the window as part of a rainbow.

Customers can also then enter a competition with Me to You with a first prize of £1,000 and a runner's up prize of exclusive art by Me to You head artist Steve Mort Hill and a Tatty Teddy.

Barton Seagrave Post Office said: "Me to You is a brand that is synonymous with conveying messages of love and friendship and it will be fantastic to see heartfelt and personal messages from our customers displaying in rainbow colours for all to see in our window.

"We know that customers enjoy the theatre that they can only experience when shopping locally and we think our Me to You window will be a real draw to our customers."

The competition opened on August 4 and the closing date is September 4.
