'Show to remember' as rap star set to perform in Kettering

One of the hottest names in UK rap is expected to sell-out a Kettering venue next week.

DigDat, from Lewisham in south London, is coming to The Loft in Dalkeith Place on Friday, February 28.

He forced his way into the charts in 2018 with Air Force and peaked at number 20 after the release of a remix featuring Krept and Konan and K Trap.

The 20-year-old has now released his own album, which has featured Aitch and Headie One, and will perform at Wireless and Reading and Leeds Festivals this summer after the show at the 400-person venue in Kettering.

Rhys Alford, head of event organisers Intense Presents, said: "Trying to bring the best artists in the UK to your hometown is never easy.

"This will definitely sell out. He’s nearly sold out his UK tour and is currently in the charts.

"This will be a show to remember for the town."

In recent years The Loft has welcomed stars including Stormzy, J Hus, Big Narstie, Fredo and Bugzy Malone. Last year Birmingham-based grime star Jaykae came to town.
