Rushden pub to host 'festive drag bingo night' in December with cash prizes, cabaret and more
The Welcome Inn will usher in the Christmas season with a bingo night with a twist on December 6.
From 9pm until 11.45pm, the Rushden pub will offer Christmas-themed bingo hosted by Northamptonshire-based drag queen, Traya Buns.
The night is open to over-18s only.
Sapphire Matthewman, an organiser of the event, said: “After the huge success of Rushden’s first pride, I’d like to invite everyone to a Christmas drag night of fun.
"On December 6, we have Rushden’s own queen, Traya Buns, running our festive drag bingo night at The Welcome Inn in Irchester Road, Rushden. The night will be full of comedy, cash prizes, cabaret, silly games and many laughs.”
Also included in the prizes up for grabs are a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, donated by Noble Eye Centre in Rushden’s High Street for one lucky winner.
The Welcome Inn is hoping to repeat the success of its ‘incredible’ Pride weekend in June, where £300 was raised in aid of Pride UK and Marmalade Trust.
Tickets cost £3 to play for the entire night, and can be bought either on the door, or by contacting [email protected].
