The Rushden Lakes stores closed this morning after Storm Ciara
A number are closed until further notice
Stores at Rushden Lakes' leisure building remain closed this morning after Storm Ciara wreaked havoc yesterday (Sunday).
Gale force winds damaged the external cladding of the L-shaped unit - which only opened in June last year - causing it to be evacuated at about 1pm and an exclusion zone set up.
This morning Rushden Lakes said all stores from Greggs down remain closed until further notice.
Stores from Greggs down are:
- Blue Mountain Yard
- Five Guys
- TGI Fridays
- Heavenly Desserts
- Rock Up
- 360 Play
- Flip Out
- Paradise Island Adventure Golf
Rushden Lakes said all other stores are open.
On Facebook last night (February 9) 360 Play Rushden Lakes said: "Due to structural damage to the leisure complex caused by Storm Ciara we will unfortunately have to remain closed tomorrow (February 10).
"We have been advised of this by the management team at Rushden Lakes for health and safety reasons and appreciate that this may cause inconvenience but the safety of our team and our customers must come first.
"Our event tomorrow afternoon will be rescheduled and we will update you on this as soon as possible.
"Once again, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while the landlord deals with this matter. Stay safe everyone."
This morning Nando's Rushden Lakes said they would be closed today and tomorrow.
Rushden Lakes has been contacted for comment about the damage.
