Rushden Lakes' cinema closed due to coronavirus

It comes just weeks after the cinema re-opened following its closure due to storm damage

Cineworld has announced it has closed all of its cinemas across the UK and Ireland, including its Rushden Lakes site.

The chain has announced that all of its cinemas are closed from today (Wednesday) until further notice.

A statement on the Cineworld website says: "This decision was made in the light of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and recent UK government advice, which the company has been carefully monitoring and following.

Cineworld is part of the leisure terrace at Rushden Lakes and recently had to close due to damage caused by Storms Keira and Dennis.
