Rushden charity's search to find the unsung heroes of East Northants
The annual search to recognise the community heroes who go above and beyond in East Northants has begun.

Hide AdThe Susan Hollowell Memorial Award is the annual award organised by Rushden-based charity Serve in memory of Susan Hollowell, who died in 2002 aged 63.
She was a committed volunteer in the town, chairman of Northamptonshire and Rushden Age Concern and also helped to set up Serve.
The award is to recognise the efforts of people who go above and beyond for others and highlight the invaluable work of volunteers who make such a difference in their community.

Hide AdSo if you know someone who has provided outstanding voluntary work during the past 12 months in East Northants, Serve wants to hear from you.
Jenny Standen from Serve said: "While we are not able to do our Sing for Serve concert this year, we will still be doing our annual volunteering award virtually."
Former Rushden librarian Dominica Jones was named the winner of last year's Susan Hollowell Award.

Hide AdDominica was nominated for her work with Home-Start, as a volunteer reading helper and for her work at the Salvation Army shop where she organises the books.
If you would like to nominate someone for this year's awards, the nomination should be sent to Jenny Standen at 19 Church Street, Rushden by 4pm on Friday, November 13 or they can be emailed to [email protected].
Nominations need to include the name of your nominee, your reason for nominating them in no more than 50 words as well as your name, contact number and email address.
