A Rushden woman who has been volunteering at an animal rescue and rehoming centre will shave off her hair to boost the charity's empty coffers.
Sally White calls the charity her second family and wants to help Little Irchester-based Animals In Need after it had to cancel multiple fundraising events this year due to Covid-19.

Hide AdOn Saturday, August 15, Sally will have her neck-length hair clippered off hoping to raise as much money as possible with her hairy sacrifice.
She said: "Animals In Need is my second home and they are a second family to me. It's heartbreaking. They are really struggling. It's not their fault.
"I would like to raise £450, although anything is better than nothing and 100 per cent of the money raised will be going to Animals In Need."
Sally, 27, started volunteering regularly in 2019 after initially helping out at Animals In Need fundraisers. Her passion for pets - she has five cats and one dog - led her to working with the cats waiting to rehomed.

The sponsored head shave will take place at the Little Irchester site watched by her fiance and friends, fellow charity volunteers and manager Annie Marriott .
She said: "Annie is so supportive. I want to give something back to the charity. I absolutely adore working there. The dedication of the volunteers and the staff is amazing.
"As well as dedication to the animals all of the staff are also extremely supportive of each other."

She added: "It's going to be worth it. I don't really like my hair to be honest. I'm always having to pin it up.
"I'd like to thank Annie for being so understanding. She has been really supportive. I'd also like to thank all the volunteers I work with. They are an amazing group of people.
"Being a member of the volunteering team at Animals In Need has not only helped with my mental health but my physical and wellbeing too.
"Animals In Need is my sanctuary."
