Remembrance in North Northamptonshire - Where to pay your respects during Remembrance weekend in Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden and more

Remembrance Sunday on November 9 will see communities around the UK come together to commemorate those who lost their lives in conflicts around the world.

The annual event marks the end of the conflict of the First World War and gives people the opportunity to reflect on the sacrifice of those who have served in the wars thereafter, wearing Poppies and attending local services.

In North Northamptonshire there are numerous memorial events happening so we’ve compiled a list of places where people can go to pay their respects.

Martin Griffiths, leader of North Northants Council, said: "Each November, I’m deeply moved by the way our communities come together in quiet reflection and gratitude.

"On the big day itself, I am always immensely proud to see our well-turned-out uniformed youngsters parading with dignity, representing their families, communities and our country in such a splendid way. “As a council, we’re proud to support our Armed Forces community not just on Remembrance Day, but throughout the year. These tributes remind us of the strength, courage and sacrifice that shaped our nation, and it’s our duty to ensure their legacy lives on.”
