The dedicated runner is raising money for VICTA, a charity supporting blind or partially sighted children and their families across the UK and will be running with her younger daughter, Charlotte McAndrew.

To raise the £1,500, Julia has planned a charity cabaret evening for this Saturday, March 14 at The Gladstone in Finedon.

It starts at 7.30pm and tickets will be £9. There will be performances from local artists including Julia's daughter, Louisa Nixon, and ABBA tribute band, Honey Honey.

VICTA is Julia's chosen charity and it works to support blind and partially sighted children who can sometimes be isolated.

The charity offers weekend breaks, international trips, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and more for children who might struggle to gain independence due to their sight.

Daughter Louisa said: "My mum is an inspiration. She is the kindest person I know and she will do anything for anyone.

"I just want to show her how much we are all behind her and it would be great if people from the local community could come and support her."

Julia has raised £255 of her target so far. You can find her Virgin Money Giving page here.
