The popular pub and music venue was shut down in April 2019 to the dismay of drinkers, re-opened in June under new management and closed again in mid September.

Familiar faces will be pulling the festive pints with former manager James Telfer returning to his place behind the bar with Mansfield-based Jco Pubs Ltd becoming the latest leaseholders.

Mr Telfer said: "We'll definitely be opening tomorrow morning - I'm just waiting for the beer. The new owners have reduced the prices.

"I'm glad to be back. It's been a tough couple of months and it's going to be hard work. It's like starting from scratch but I am positive it will be a good pub."

The pub kitchen will not be opening until the new year with manager James concentrating on the Christmas drinks trade.

Returning to the pub will be karaoke, live music and, in the new year, pub grub.

He added: "People have got to understand that with only two weeks to Christmas I won't be able to offer meals yet.

"But come along to The White Hart and enjoy yourself over the festive season. We'll be open all over Christmas."

Jco Pubs Ltd already leases two other hostelries in Corby - The Kingfisher in Fotheringhay Road and The Lincoln in Lincoln Way.

Danny Oldfield, director of Jco Pubs Ltd, said: "The people of Corby need to support their pubs and get behind Jim [Mr Telfer].

"It's a short-term lease. I've been at some pubs on a short-term lease and we've been there seven years later - others it only lasts a month.

"If the people of Corby support the pub, and Jim does a good job, there's no reason why we can't be there in seven years time."
