Officers from Northamptonshire Police including forensics and scenes of crime officers have attended the site of an incident in an alleyway in Kettering.

Police tape had been stretched across the path leading between Windmill Avenue and Ise Road with officers conducting a finger-tip search.

The team who were wearing protective masks and white forensics overalls took away samples in evidence bags.

A source said: "An incident happened overnight."

One resident said: "The first I knew about it was when the police arrived this morning. They have been busy with the forensics."
