The panel heard PC Reddy's conduct was alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of his conduct towards a female, who was on various dates alleged to have been subjected to threatening, aggressive and violent behaviour without justification of lawful authority, and in respect of a domestic violence protection order made in 2019 with reference to the same female.

Domestic Violence Protection Orders are used by police and magistrates' courts to protect victims of domestic violence in the immediate aftermath of an incident. They can also be used to prevent alleged perpetrators returning to a residence or having contact with a victim for up to 28 days.

PC Reddy was present at the four-day hearing and denied the allegations.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "In accordance with Regulation 36 (Notification of outcome) of the Police Conduct Regulations we are required to publish the outcome of the hearing.

"The panel considered the available evidence and found the allegations were not proven. Therefore no further action was taken."
