PICTURE SPECIAL: Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Rushden town centres in lockdown

People have been told they can only go outside to shop for essentials, if they are a key worker, or for daily excercise

Five days into the government lockdown 'normal' lives are on hold with residents getting used to social distancing and new shopping regimes.

Most shops are closed except for some food retailers, pharmacies, hardware stores, corner shops, petrol stations, post offices, banks, newsagents, laundrette and pet shops.

On Friday, north Northamptonshire's main town's shopping areas were open with shoppers observing the 2m distance rule in queues and whilst collecting essentials.
