Northamptonshire string quartet concert brings 'joyful' classics to Wilbarston village church in final push for £100,000 fundraising campaign

A Northamptonshire village church is set to host an evening of music for their latest fundraising event to hit their £100,000 target.
The concert by county-based string group The Nash Quartet will boost All Saint’s Church in Wilbarston’s appeal to create level access, a new porch and a loo.

Hide AdSo far more than £90,000 has been raised by supporters and this Sunday’s concert will boost project funds.
Church warden Julia Trustram-Eve said: “The evening will provide plenty of musical entertainment to lighten the mood during these dark evenings, and the church provides a perfect acoustic environment to enjoy the music to its fullest.
"This promises to be a wonderful event and will raise much-needed money.
"People have been very generous – there’s been the most wonderful efforts.”

Hide AdA programme of light classical music and popular song arrangements has a ‘joyful’ repertoire including pieces by Mozart and Handel as well as modern classics such as Bob Thiel’s Wonderful World and Waltz Bluesette by Thielmans.
Plans for the church refurbishment will see level access opened up and improved for those with wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs.
The evening starts at 6.30pm on Sunday, October 30. Tickets cost £15 each, which includes a first drink and canapés served during the interval. There will also be a paying bar.
