The 'concept' store will sell NEXT's own products alongside a host of premium brands including Clarins, Origins, MAC, Estee Lauder, Armani Beauty, Bare Minerals, Benefit, Clinique, GHD, Lancome, Too Faced, Urban Decay and YSL.

A range of "premium beauty services" will also be available, say NEXT, but social distancing measures will be in place.

"Alongside this, NEXT’s well loved Home and lingerie collections will be available within the new store, which will further expand the lifestyle offer available to the local Next customer.

The venture is one of four new NEXT ‘Beauty & Home’ stores across the UK set to launch before Christmas.

Simon Wolfson, NEXT’s chief executive said: “This is an exciting opportunity to work with existing and new beauty brand partners to create a new force in beauty retailing - bringing our online business to life through premium store environments in some of the UK’s most important retail locations.”

But there will be competition later this year when Harrods open up a specialist beauty shop in the large former House of Fraser store, which is just metres away,

The Harrods store will be called H Beauty and will sell a host of luxury skincare and beauty brands, including Chanel, Dior and Huda Beauty. Customers will also be able to have on the spot treatments such as facials and hair blow-dries.

Debenhams announced in June that their Milton Keynes store would not be re-opening again. The retailer was been unable to agree new terms with intu.
