New Rushden Lakes GDK restaurant opens for business

Visitors to Rushden Lakes can now get their hands on ‘iconic’ waffle bread kebabs, sides and sweet treats from German Doner Kebab (GDK) that has opened its doors today (Monday, October 19).

GDK has opened an outlet on the West Terrace section at the retail and leisure destination offering shoppers, families, cinema-goers and day-trippers a new dining option, serving a menu of freshly made-to-order kebabs, boxes and sides.

Boasting every dish is 100 per cent halal and prepared fresh to order, GDK says the restaurant delivers a ‘fast-casual’ experience that ‘doesn’t compromise on flavour or quality’.

Chris Waters, GDK chief marketing officer, said: “Rushden is a great location with a strong sense of community, with Rushden Lakes right at the heart.

"Our menu is built around quality ingredients, bold flavours and offering an elevated perspective on a nationwide classic. Kebabs done right.

"As we continue our rapid growth across the UK, openings like Rushden are powerful markers of the momentum behind GDK. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and we’d like to extend a special thanks to our hard-working team across the country, as well as a huge congratulations to franchise partners. Their dedication has been central to our success.”
