Nene Legal steps up to support Rushden & Diamonds Walking Football Club with new sponsorship deal
AFC Rushden & Diamonds Walking Football Club has announced a new partnership with Nene Legal, a Rushden-based will writing and estate planning service.
The sponsorship will help provide new training tops for the club’s players.
Club officials have expressed their gratitude to Simon Bonanno, owner of Nene Legal and squad member, for his support.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the club depends on member subscriptions and local business partnerships to fund weekly sessions and essential equipment.

Club chairman Alan Wookey said: “We’re grateful to Simon and Nene Legal for their support.
"Sponsorship from local businesses makes a huge difference to clubs like ours and helps us keep walking football accessible for everyone who wants to stay active and social through the game.”
Explaining why he wanted to get involved, Simon Bonanno, owner of Nene Legal, said: “As a Rushden-based business, we’re always keen to give something back to the community.
"AFC Rushden & Diamonds Walking Football Club does a fantastic job of bringing people together, promoting fitness and having fun - so we’re proud to play a small part in supporting what they do.”
Walking football is a slower-paced version of the sport, designed for men and women aged 50 and over.
It offers an accessible way to stay active, improve fitness and enjoy the social benefits of team sport — something that keeps participants returning week after week.
AFC Rushden & Diamonds Walking Football sessions take place every Monday evening from 7.15pm to 9pm at The Ferrers School, Queensway, Higham Ferrers (NN10 8LF).
Anyone interested in rediscovering their love of football, trying a new activity or simply keeping fit in a friendly environment is encouraged to go along and get involved.
