'Neat' start for new tanning salon in Wellingborough hoping to make its mark on the town in 2026
Glow Right opened in Wellingborough’s Turnells Mill Lane last month and has already had a positive start to life in the town.
The new business is looking to start 2026 as it ended 2025 with bosses praising the opening, saying it has been getting ‘busier by the day.’
Emille Idrissi, the owner of Eat Right which opened in Cambridge Street, Wellingborough last year, began the new venture with business partner, Liam O’Driscoll.
Emille said: "It’s been neat, it’s been busy.
"We’re getting busier by the day. We’re working long hours so are available all the time for people.
“We spoke about it when the unit became available so we thought let’s take a chance on it and it managed to come out alright.”
Glow Right is based in a unit in Turnells Mill Lane, Wellingborough, next to Topps Tiles, and inside, five new tanning beds line the walls, with brand new lamps, offering tanning services from £1 per minute, scaling up to a 200-minute course for £100.
Tanning essentials such as lotions are available, with drinks also on offer for those using the services.
The unit in Turnells Mill Lane is just a short walk from the Victoria Retail Park, with bosses hoping to capitalise on the footfall in the area.
Emille added: “We see the potential in this, we can make it better, we can do better.
“We have parking, Tesco and KFC there, it’s convenient for everyone. For people coming from Rushden to Northampton we’re in the middle so it’s easily accessible. By looking at research, it’s hard to find a place with ample parking and a decent size."
The opening on December 18 coincides with a currently-ongoing promotion, where customers can get their first sunbed free when buying a course on registration. Glow Right is also running a 20 per cent off all courses and creams until January 15.
Glow Right is open from 8am until midnight, seven days a week.
