Motorcyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries after Wellingborough crash
An incident in Northampton Road, Wellingborough, has resulted in a motorcyclist colliding with a car just after 8am this morning (June 12).
Those travelling on Northampton Road and into Wellingborough can expect significant delays in the area, and police are advising motorists to avoid the Wilby Way roundabout ‘for the time being’.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: “This happened at about 8.05am when there was a collision between the driver of a car and a motorcyclist rider. The rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being.”
Eyewitnesses say Air Ambulance services was in attendance, arriving on the scene some time after the collision took place just after 8am.
