Well-known local historian John Clarke has published a book about growing up in Brackley in the 1950s and 1960s.

Titled A Brackley Childhood, the book traces the story of a childhood spent in the town and brings together a young boy’s experience of important Brackley institutions: the stations, the church and the schools.

In the process readers will encounter some of Brackley’s most interesting characters together with their distinctive attitudes and values.
