The Kettering High Street restaurant and the Corporation Street, Corby McDonald's will be opening their doors at 11am today.

McDonald's is also trialling a limited breakfast menu in 42 restaurants. The nearest location is Peterborough, in Cambridgeshire.

At the Kettering and Corby branches, a limited number of customers will be allowed in the restaurants to adhere to social distancing.

When invited in, customers will be asked to sanitise their hands at cleaning stations and there will be signposting to create a one-way system.

Customers can order on the My McDonald's app or in store. There will be fewer self-order screens switched on and those in use will be cleaned every 30 minutes.

You are encouraged to visit alone to collect food. The seating areas, play area, customer toilets and lifts all remain closed.

McDonald's is asking customers not to visit if they are feeling unwell.

To protect staff and customers, McDonald's is continuing to use measures already in place at open drive-thrus.

There are perspex screens in kitchens, service areas and at drive-thru windows.

Staff have extra protective equipment, like gloves and face coverings.

A reduced menu allows for fewer staff on each shift.

In the breakfast trials, the reduced menu includes McMuffin's, hash browns, bacon roll, cheesy bacon flatbread and pancakes.

McDonald's said: "As employees and the business adapt to a new way of working, McDonald’s would like to thank customers for their continued support and patience.
