A man was hit with a metal pole during a robbery in Corby.

The 22-year-old victim was assaulted by a man who hit him with a metal pole causing him to drop his mobile phone and wallet to the floor at the junction of Beanfield Avenue and Farmstead Road last month.

The offender then stamped on the man’s phone and picked up his wallet before making off.

He is described as aged in his early-to-mid 20s, 5ft 7in and spoke with a local accent.

He was wearing a black Nike tracksuit top with a hoody and black trousers.

The robbery took place between 10.30pm and 10.45pm on Wednesday, January 8, although Northants Police have only released this witness appeal today.
