Man arrested after street fight in Wellingborough

A man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and for possession of a bladed article

Police were called after reports of two men fighting outside a house in Wellingborough.

Officers attended the incident in Knox Road in the town earlier this afternoon (Tuesday).

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "We were called to Knox Road at about 1pm today to reports of an altercation between two men outside an address in the area.

"A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and for possession of a bladed article."

He remains in police custody.
