"If anyone has any old ones they no longer need, we would be very grateful to receive them at Animals In Need."

Another way people can help is by considering re-homing one of the animals being looked after by the charity's volunteers, such as Prince.

Annie said: "Prince is a handsome friendly young cross breed lad who joined us from the pound.

"He’s fine with other dogs and older sensible children but not cat tested.

"He would love an active home with a secure garden."

Anyone interested in re-homing Prince can email [email protected]
