Kettering supermarket confirms Covid cases

Other members of staff are self-isolating

A Kettering supermarket has confirmed that some of their workers have tested positive for Covid-19 with others having to self-isolate.

Sainsbury's in Rockingham Road is the hub for the home delivery fleet that provides door-to-door online groceries as well as the click-and-collect service.

A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: “Two colleagues have tested positive at our Kettering store and are self-isolating at home and a small proportion of the team are returning to work soon, after self-isolating as a precaution.

“Safety is our highest priority. We continue to have strict safety measures in place in all our stores, including additional cleaning and social distancing measures, as well as hand sanitiser stations, Perspex screens and PPE for all our colleagues.

"We continue to support Test and Trace and remain in close contact with them.”
