It's believed to be the sixth time parents have been notified that the school has been affected since the start of the academic year in September, having confirmed its fifth case last week.A letter from headteacher Jill Silverthorne said: "We have been made aware of a further member of our school community who tested positive for COVID 19 over the weekend.

"Please refer to my letter of November 12 regarding the response of the school to positive diagnoses of the virus, what to do if your child develops symptoms of Covid-19, symptoms of the virus and how to stop it spreading.

"For most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness."

The original letter from headteacher Jill Silverthorne had said: "We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (Covid-19) will be a mild illness.
