Kettering restaurant closure explained after 'closed until further notice' sign appears in window
The closure of a Kettering restaurant has been explained by its parent company after a ‘closed until further notice’ appeared in its window.
Customers of Prezzo Italian in Market Place were concerned by the sign in the window and on their Facebook page when looking to eat at the restaurant.
The usually bustling eaterie has the notice ‘Due to maintenance issues, we will be closed until further notice. Apologies for the inconvenience’.
But despite the closed doors, Prezzo fans have been assured that they will be welcomed back with a half-price food offer after a refurbishment and roof repair of the ground floor premises.

A spokesman for Prezzo Italian said: “Prezzo Italian Kettering was temporarily closed after we were made aware of historical leaks affecting neighbouring residential flats, which had begun to impact the restaurant ceiling. As a precautionary measure, we took the decision to close the restaurant.
“The restaurant was already scheduled to undergo refurbishment later this year as part of our ongoing investment programme across our estate. We have now brought these plans forward and are taking the opportunity to complete a refurbishment.”
People keen for their favourite pasta and pizza meals will be treated to half price food deals for two weeks after the re-opening – with the date yet to be announced.
The Prezzo spokesman said: “We expect the restaurant to re-open in the coming weeks and look forward to welcoming guests back to a refreshed and revitalised Prezzo Italian. To celebrate re-opening, we'll be offering 50 per cent off food for the first two weeks, giving the local community the chance to experience the restaurant's new look.
“We are proud to be part of the Kettering community and can't wait to welcome guests back very soon.”
