Kettering power cut affecting 720 properties

More than 700 properties are without power after a power cut in Kettering this afternoon (Tuesday).

Western Power Distribution (WPD) are investigating the fault which has affected those in some areas with NN15 and NN16 postcodes.

The incident, which was first reported at 4.39pm, has affected 720 properties WPD has confirmed.

They estimate that the high voltage incident will be resolved by 6.30pm tonight.

A WPD spokesman said: "We are aware of this power cut incident which was raised at 4.39pm this afternoon and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you."
