Two Kettering residents will be celebrating after winning the People's Postcode Lottery today (Thursday).

Today's draw saw two residents of Pennine Way win £1,000 each after their NN16 9AZ postcode was announced as a Daily Prize winner.

People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent well-wishes to the winners and said: "What great news for our winners!

"Congratulations to them and I hope they enjoy their winnings."

Players of the postcode lottery pay £10 a month to be entered into all draws. There are daily draws and tickets can win a maximum of 10 per cent of the jackpot.

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales go to charities and People's Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £500m for thousands of charities.

Today's draw was promoted by Crisis, the homelessness charity, which has received more than £3.8m from the People's Postcode Lottery.

Crisis supports around 10,000 people a year through education, housing, employment and health services across Britain.

Local charities can apply to the People's Postcode Lottery for funding in August.
