Kettering hosts Halloween run in support of national ‘Let’s Lift the Curfew’ campaign
Kettering Sports Park is inviting women and girls to a Halloween Fun Run next Friday (October 30).
The event, registered with England Athletics, supports the ‘Let’s Lift the Curfew’ movement, calling for women and girls to feel safer while being active outdoors after dark.
It shares women’s experiences of exercising in the darker months, encouraging the wider society and the Kettering community to play a part in making the outdoors safer.
The event is open to everyone and aims to bring the community together while highlighting an important issue affecting women and girls.

Participants will enjoy a safe evening with a floodlit track and Halloween fancy dress where a prize is up for grabs.
A complimentary hot drink or juice and a discount on a future track visit are also advertised.
The evening aims for a friendly, inclusive event that starts conversations about safety while bringing people together through physical activity.
It starts at 6pm and ends at 8pm.
Entry for adults is £4.50 and for children it starts at £2.50.
