Kettering homeowners scare off burglars who tried front door

Would-be burglars who tried the door handle of a Kettering home was scared off by those living there.

The incident happened at 9.35pm on Saturday, March 6, at a property in Highfield Crescent on Kettering's Highfield estate.

Residents who heard talking scared the burglars off by making a noise and Northamptonshire Police are now appealing for information regarding the incident.

A Northants Police spokesman said: "The incident happened at 9.35pm, on March 6, in Highfield Crescent when one of the occupants heard at least two men talking outside of the door and trying the door handle."

"No entry was gained and persons made off from the area when the residents made a noise."
