The exciting news was announced in a piece on ITV Anglia news last night (Wednesday, September 30).
Damian is one of four Pride of Britain Regional Fundraiser finalists being announced each night this week and the winner, who will go forward to the natinoal awards, will be announced on Friday.
Speaking ahead of the announcement on last night's news, Damian said: "It's been hard to keep schtum about it, but I'm getting the family round to sit and watch, only six of us of course.

The DJ recorded his news piece at Wicksteed Park last week and knows others were filmed too, but he is still not sure who nominated him.
Damian said: "I still have no idea who nominated me, no idea at all. I have asked everybody, I wish I knew. It's going to be a surprise when I watch tonight."
