Kettering Bands in the Park programme brings free music to summer Sundays
Kettering’s historic bandstand will once again be brought to life this year with a programme of afternoon music.
The popular Bands in the Park will see a live band performing on Sundays throughout the summer – and are free for everyone to enjoy.
Music will be at the Rockingham Road Pleasure Park bandstand every week from June 21 to August 23 organised by Kettering Town Council.
Park users will be able to enjoy a wide range of live music, with all performers coming from the local Kettering area.

Cllr Dez Dell, chairman of the markets and events committee, said: "We're really happy to see the return of Bands in the Park to the Pleasure Park.
"It's always a nice vibe for a relaxing Sunday afternoon in the park listening to live music.
"This year we’ve put together a really lovely programme, with a mix of traditional brass bands and some more contemporary music, starting with Kettering Town Silver Band.”
All Saints’ Church in nearby William Street will once again be providing refreshments, including ice creams, strawberries, tea and coffee. If the weather is not favourable, the concerts will still go ahead indoors at the church.
“It’s a great free event for the whole community, and we hope people will come along, bring a picnic and enjoy the tunes together in the park.”
The programme will feature traditional brass and silver bands alongside funk, jazz, saxophone ensembles and more, running from 2pm to 4pm each Sunday.
