Taking part from the comfort of their own homes 100 households in the borough of Corby will be able to get involved in classes that encourage people to have fun together by making and telling stories with puppets.

The weekly online sessions will be under the guidance of professional puppeteer Josh Macrow, who will take budding puppeteers on a no-strings-attached journey from making to storytelling.

Josh said: "For the next five months we'll be making all sorts - cardboard puppets, foam puppets, mini-puppet theatres and more.

"You'll also learn how to use your puppets to tell stories, so this is a perfect opportunity for anyone who enjoys crafting performance or theatre.”

Community engagement co-ordinator Tom Briggs said: "The Connecting Corby community panel decided that after the year we have all had, fun should be the first priority, so we are very excited to get Corby making and using puppets.

"Anyone in Corby is welcome to join in and we will all be beginners together.”
