People in Rushden attended a memorial service to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
The RAF Ensign flag was raised in Hall Park, Rushden, to commemorate the military milestone and remember the contribution of all British, Commonwealth and Allied Forces.
Northants Telegraph reader Jack Rickard of Rushden was among those who attended the service, organised by the Royal British Legion, and he took numerous pictures.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the first decisive battle in history fought entirely in the air.
Battle of Britain Sunday commemorates a dramatic turning point in both the battle itself, and the history of the Second World War.
