People gathered to show their respect during the Remembrance weekend in Wellingborough yesterday (November 9) to lay wreaths, and pay tributes to those who lost their lives in battle.

The morning of Sunday, November 9 saw people attend a service in Wellingborough after a parade departed from Market Street, up to Broad Green.

There, Rev. Paula York from All Hallows Church gave a speech, hymns were sung, and wreaths were laid at the cenotaph by dignitaries including NNC leader, Martin Griffiths and Wellingborough mayor, Raj Mishra.

The service was attended by community leaders, local groups, and war veterans, who took part in a two-minute silence, and observed the ceremony in the town centre.
