Huge rescue sees 250 hens taken in by Little Irchester charity
An animal charity is hoping there will be a happy ending after a rescue which saw thousands of ex-barn hens saved.
Animals In Need has stepped in by taking in 250 of the rescued hens and is now looking to re-home as many of them as possible.
Annie Marriott from the charity based at Pine Tree Farm in Little Irchester said: "We have just taken part in a huge rescue, thousands of hens were saved.
"We have 250 beautiful 17-month-old ex-barn hens looking for large, safe, secure forever homes.
